Sconfig hangs on 'Inspecting system...' RRS feed

  • Question

  • When I try to use sconfig command at running windows core container it stops at 'Inspecting system...' prompt and hangs. I already tried to launch it from powershell and command line with the same effect.

I can exit out from with with CTRL+c but script will not go any further than mentioned prompt.

  • Doubt sconfig is supported, will file a bug on this. What are you trying to configure? We can help with that.

  • Updates, Remote access, IP address those for the most.

I know that I can manage with remote access and IP in powershell but how to set up and run updates?

  • Containers aren't designed to be updated; they're immutable and stateless.

I know, sounds alien. It did to me too. Check out the free Microsoft Press "Introduction to Windows Containers" ebook, it has a great overview of the entire space and outlines some patterns you should follow (aka.ms/containersebook).
