  • 1024x768 is the minimum for Metro apps.

Several people have reported that they can be run in you connect an external display that is 1024x768 or larger.

You can try this modification to allow higher resolutions:

  • If you see the MSI U160 description is HD, http://www.msi.com/product/nb/U160.html the question is why this is a minimal resolution for the metro application (I really don't understand why) I can Run the Control Panel metro app with this resolution but no other metro app, is this metro application run is because the limit is define by the Windows registry, because I can connect to another monitor lunch the application then disconnect the external monitor and they are still running ok (I tried it and the application runs perfectly in my 1024 x 600 monitor)  the most of the HD netbook have this screen definition, and if I'm going to develop anything like a metro app i would like that run in a netbook, so again my question is What need to be done to make the metro app run in my 1024x600 screen?
