I need Direct Play back

Question

Im trying to run an old game called Star Wars Rebellion on Steam. It wont launch and when i look into things, i think i need direct play. I cant find it in my windows features and then i found out its non existent. Im wondering how to get the game to run? Im running windows 7 still

I have the same issue, And telling us to go somewhere else for the answer is NOT helpful. I wonder where exactly I can get this answer? I also want to run an old game on my windows 7 professional 64bit system. I read elsewhere for the answer but no answer there too and getting the run around doesn't help me.

DirectPlay is an optional Windows feature in Windows 8.1 and Windows 10, but it's already included in Windows 7.
