Xaml from C/C++/C++ CX desktop application RRS feed

  • Question

  • As far as I know, Xaml can't be used from a native C++ application in Windows 8.1. Are their plans to support this in the near future?

    Thanks,

    Tom

  • I am asking specifically about desktop application, so not limited to the WinRT API (like the Windows Store Apps).

There is no support for XAML in native C++ desktop applications if that's what you are asking.

.NET, and specifically WPF, supports XAML. You can use WPF with C++/CLI but it requires the .NET Framework: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/4776355/does-wpf-work-with-c
