WLK / HCK Control Device Driver RRS feed

Answers

  • The HCK and WLK tests are designed to test very specific functionality in drivers, e.g. a disk driver. A software-only driver could implement any type of functionality, and as such, there is no way to test the correctness of the driver. Thus, software-only drivers outside specific realms, such as audio filters, file system filters, etc., cannot be certified.

  • What do you mean by "a control device driver"? Is this a software-only driver, or something else?
