  • What is the compilation and execution process of a metro style app ?

Is it the same as that of a normal .NET based program :

source code -> MSIL -> native code

Answers

  • Metro style apps in .Net use the same general process as normal .Net programs: they compile into IL and are JITted into native code at runtime.

Metro style apps in C++ are compiled directly to native code.
