Service stop for O365 Access Services RRS feed

  • Question

  • My name is Yoshiki Tojo from Tokyo,Japan.
The following article is describing the service stop of Access Services on O365.

I found the other document in which the Powe apps is a succeccor of AWA.
I think that the Power apps is not a successor of AWA, but a successor of InfoPath.
The authors did not mention about "Data Centric Design" which was the basic consept of AWA.
The Power apps is not a "Data Centric Design".
I couidn't understand why the Power apps is a successor of AWA.

Shutdown of AWA on O365 will be planed on APR,2018. And new app creation will be stopped on JUN,2017.
This means service stopping of one of O365 components which is Access Services..
It will be contrary to faith for MS users.

Anyonr, pleacse give me your opinion.

  • Hello Yoshiki ,

According to Access Services in SharePoint Roadmap,Microsoft recommends Microsoft PowerApps for new apps andweb databases.  Sorry that we are not familiar with PowerApps, so for the question about if PowerApps supports Data Centric Design, I would suggest you post on https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/PowerApps-Community/ct-p/PowerApps1 for professional support. Thanks for your understanding.
