File checkout in Visual Studio and TFS not showing file as checked out RRS feed

    Greetings,

I am from the old VSS source code version control era and have decided to try Team Foundation Server Version Control.

I recently created a project checked files in and decided to check a file out.

A partner tried to check out the same file and was successful even though I had already checked the file out.

    Any idea why this happened?

I made sure that the default workspace type is Server.

Finally, when I navigated to the Azure DevOps site, the file I checked out is not showing as checked out as well.

Any ideas why this is happening is greatly appreciated.

I image multiple check out is configured.

I'm not sure that you are looking at or for but the reference docs explain the basics.

Excellent point but that was already unchecked.

I forgot to mention that it was one of the things I tried first.

But then, it still does not explain why when I go to the Azure DevOps site, it doesn't show any of the files marked as checked out.

i m using visual studio 2017 and I suppose that means we are using TFS2017?
