InfoPath Form Field Default Value Change impact on the existing data

    For FY1617,

    SP2013 InfoPath 2013 application form, I have two Boolean data type form fields that are "Required" fields with no default values. <o:p></o:p>

    For FY1718,
    I have created another view of the same application form with some changes to the form. The above two "Required" fields are not used.<o:p></o:p>

    During the testing of the form for FY1718, it gives errors expecting data for those "Required" fields even though there are no controls for them in this new form.<o:p></o:p>

    If I add a default value of FALSE or a Zero to these two Boolean type form fields would that affect the existing data? Meaning would the default value override the submitted values for any of the existing FY1617 applications if they are opened for read only purpose and then closed?<o:p></o:p>
