iostream and Platform Builder RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm using Platform Builder 6.0 (with updates for R3 and QFEs until around July 2011.)

Our system includes code that is built as part of Platform Builder (and included in BSP) along with some code that is developed using an SDK generated from our platform and installed on developer machines (using VS2008.)

I've noticed that you cannot include <iostream> when developing against Platform Builder 6.0 but you can use <iostream> successfully using the SDK that is generated by the same BSP.

Currently, the only options I can think of are:

    1. Develop code outside of Platform Builder using VS2008 and the SDK I created for our BSP.

    2. Use something like STLPort to provide an iostream interface to our platform.

Are these really my only options or am I missing something?

The code was developed as part of a third party so re-writing it without iostream is not really an acceptable option.

    Thank you,

    Brad.
