    Out of the box, you don't.  Note that the Entity Framework is the supported ORM for Microsoft.  Linq to SQL, while still available, will eventually be deprecated and removed, so you might consider going with EF.

    However, you could consider copying the Dynamic Data LINQ to SQL project template from Visual Studio 2010 and see if you can get it to work within VS 2012.

    Thanks for the reply Careed. That there isn't any new project template since VS2010 is all that I needed to know. My interest is in updating\supporting legacy apps rather than creating new ones.
