  • Question

  • Hi,

I am getting the following error message on opening a Master Project with Sub Projects:

"Value Entered does not exist in the lookup table of this code. All values must be predefined in the code lookup table. Contact Server Administrator to get new values added.

I am not abel to figure out the field that is causing this issue. I am looking for help to resolve this issue and also to know the lookup or field that is causing this issue . Any help in this regard will be appreciated.

  • Hi,

It could be that MS Project is unable to handle custom lookup fields that have a selected value longer than 128 characters. Particularly when using ‘multi-value custom fields’ there is little to no restriction on the length of values that are selected.

There is this blog post which details a similar error message and proposes a resolution.

    Hope this helps,
