How to remove serration / aliasing on chart axis when chart's background color is set to transparent? RRS feed

  • I'm using Visual Studio 2010 and editing a .rdlc file.

    I'm trying to make the chart's background color transparent.

    But when I set the Chart's BackgroundColor property to No Color via the Properties menu, the bar graph's axis becomes bolder. This unwanted effect is only seen after I have generated the report in the application and not during editing the .rdlc file.

    It seems like a rendering bug... maybe an antialiasing one because when I set the axis font colour to white, the jagged edges are visible:
