Are they any command line commands for (1) backup; (2) restore and (3) search?

Hey David,
There is still wbadmin.exe for backup, dir /s for search, no command line option for restore, except for launching the System Restore GUI - rstrui.exe.

I suggest you take a look at the new feature for local backups called File History. You can access File History from the desktop Control Panel.
