New virtual machine not available RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi Guys,

My company part of the sponsorship program with azure and I'm trying to get our infrastructure setup. I got as far as setting up 5 of the 8 servers we need. The last four servers need to have the same specs. I installed one, but I cannot install the rest because the server with the following specs: Standard DS12 v2 (4 cores, 28 GB memory) is not available anymore, it is grayed out along with a bunch of other packages. I can only get 1 or 2 core packages. Is this something that happened to anyone else? Is it just Azure not having enough hardware to support my setup, or what's going on?

  • Can you please check in the usage, settings if you have achieved the maximum number of cores for your subscription? the default limit is 20.

  • Hello Alex,

    Thanks for posting here.

The error message provided by you indicates that the core limit has been reached since an Azure subscription by default is given 20 cores. Hence, please contact the Billing support to increase the number of cores by clicking the link below:
