    HI

    While debugging a handheld application within a PC Emulator I am getting an Error

    "Storage Memory is critically low.If you donot increase storage memory you mannot be able to start some program. use file explorer to delete some files..."

    How can increase the memory size of the emulator

    I have added an external dll within the application at that time only this memory error occurs

    Thanks

    Hi Midhun,

    In visual studio select the following.

    Tools->Options->Device Tools->Devices-><Emulator name>->Properties->Emulator Options

    Then there select the Emulator you are using and select configuration. There you will see memory size. Increase it. It will resolve your problem.

    Hi,

    You must have a bad reference for '%csidl_appdata%\smartdeviceproject1\system.design.dll'. Try to remove the reference and add it again. And also if it is a native dll, remove it at all. Don't add it.

    Ok then. Remove the reference first. Then copy the dll file to your project folder. Then add the dll file to you project. Then add the refernce by right clicking on the project and selecting Add reference. Then select browse and select your dll file. Then clean the project and build it. Then you may able to run it without errors.

    Hi,

    Still the same error? It seems to complain about a free disk space issue (either on your host machine or inside this emulator). If you post in a specialized forum for the kind of app you are writing, it should be seen by much more developers using whatever emulator you are using.

    Edit: I find for example https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/mobiledevices/forum/all/storage-memory-critically-low/2e5d1a35-122d-45a4-b20e-58d569cb99ac. You are using Windows Mobile?
