How to get Foothold Positions in Microsoft Robotics Developer Studio RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi there,

Kindly guide me how can i extract foothold positions of a custom robot.
I want a command, or code block that could be invoked as soon as the robot's foot touched the ground
and returned in some way the co-ordinates.

  • Oh.
Actually what i want are the contact points of any shape entity with the ground entity.
On looking closely i found that such points are indicated by blue colored cross in the Visual Simulation Environment. Is there an already available library function to extract that?
Or is there any way i could invoke an event whenever a shape touches the ground entity?

  • There is an EntityContactNotification message on all entities. That may be what you're looking for.

Here's a similar question with more detail and a sample to look at.

    Hope that helps!
