How to Match Visual Studio Update to Version Number in Help > About

    Question

  • Is there a way to determine which update version of Visual Studio Enterprise I'm running based on the number listed in Help > About?

  • I think that if an Update is present, then you should see a text like “Update 2” in this example: https://visualstudio.uservoice.com/assets/100034997/vs_dialog_box.png). Otherwise it is not updated.

  • Hi Dave,

    Welcome to the MSDN forum.

I agreed with Viorel_ and Castorix31, we can directly know the update version under Help-About Microsoft Visual Studio, I have installed the VS enterprise 2015 with update 2 and update 3 on my side and the detail version number is as below, which just like Viorel_ and Castorix31 shared.

If your version number is earlier than above versions, please share your version information in here or upload the file to https://onedrive.live.com/ and share the link here. I will help you to confirm which update of your VS 2015. In this scenario, you can also go to the Tool-Extensions and Updates-Updates tab, if your current version is not the latest VS enterprise 2015 with update 3, there should lists the VS 2015 update 3 as below and you can directly update.

    Best regards,

    Sara
