  • Hi All,

After 7-8 Days fight, system is responding now. (I did not changed anything in Packages & Configuration). Today I received a package from offshore & in Readme It was written to run this package for Full load. So i tried to run this alone package manually because when I run packages (680 Total), CPU Utilization was going 100% & .bat file seems on hold because it was not calling next package

So I ran today Package by using Utility but it got failed. I added that package to BIDS & found that It was not able to connect to Target DataBase. Showing Error: "Test connection failed because of an error in initializing provider. [DBNETLIB][ConnectionOpen (Connect()).]SQL Server does not exist or access denied." But I was able to loging to DB from SSMS, with no error.

I searched in google & found few links:

I Just follewed Last Link steps:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters
Set the SynAttackProtect entry to a DWORD value of 00000000. To do this, perform the following steps:

Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK.

Locate and then click the following registry key:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters

On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click DWORD Value.

Type SynAttackProtect, and then press ENTER

On the Edit menu, click Modify.

In the Value data box, type 00000000. Click OK.

    Quit Registry Editor.

Restart the computer that is running SQL Server

I restarted SQL Server instead of System & after that I was not able to Login to DB SSMS. Actually It satrted pointing to some other IP. Informed my DBA, & he restarted System & After that all is well:)

  • You have to give much more info... otherwise it will be some guess game.

Start by telling how do you start the batch file and what's in it...

  • Hi,

In my case, Above problem occured bez of Server & System Memory problem. Yesterday, when I was trying to run the packages, It was hanging bez of 100% CPU Utilization. Here on server A we have evrything SQL DB, ETLs, Reporting Services, AS etc. http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sqlintegrationservices/thread/61efdaa0-7ffe-4721-8c81-4b5b39302c48

Same ETLs & .Bat file I ran from Another Server B pointhing to DB Server A. Everything is working Fine. We are planning to Move DB of Server A to another server to solve this issue.

If any one is having any suggestion pls let me know.
