How to update the AT&T data plan when AT&T Connection Manager does not work? RRS feed

  • Question

  • After updating my Build tablet to the Release Preview, the AT&T connection manager available in the Windows store does not work properly. It displays a message stating that the application needs an AT&T SIM card, which the tablet has.

I can still connect to the AT&T 3G network because my existing data plan coupon is still active, but it will expire tomorrow, and I am wondering how to add the new coupon without the Communication Manager app.

Is there a specific web site to go to?

  • Yes, the web site is actually at the bottom of the E-mail.   http://buyasession.att.com/  I searched the main at&t site for a half hour without finding it, then I noticed it was right at the bottom of the e-mail!

  • The AT&T application should be functioning now. If you still get the you need and AT&T sim message, go to Devices and printers on the desktop and hit F5. You should see the AT&T icon in the Network dialog if the metadata installation was successful.
