Can not connect to remote win server 2008 r2 by remote desktop RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I have a PC with IP 172.16.40.222, server A installed OS server 2008r2 with IP 172.16.10.6, server B installed OS server 2008r2 with IP 172.16.10.7

Three machine can ping each other

I can connect from PC to server A and server B by remote desktop successfully

I can connect from server B to server A by remote desktop successfully

But I can not connect from server A to server B by remote desktop, I get error:

Remote Desktop can not connect to remote machine because following reasons:

1> Have not enabled remote access to server

    2> Remove computer has shutdown

3> The computer on network is invalid

    I test more:

I can connect from server B to my PC, but I failed to connect from server A to my PC and get error above

It seems that all connections from server A are failed.

    Thanks.

  • telnet serverB 3389

run this from Server A to check if it can connect to server B

if fails maybe need check switch ACL and ServerB's firewall settings.

you can also check server A's outgoing firewall rules.

at last I guess there maybe some settings avoid 172.16.10.x vlan connect to others, check switch settings .
