SQL adapter open transaction RRS feed

  • Question

  • The BizTalk application has a receive location that uses a SQL adapter which executes a stored procedure to pick up a cart from the database. 'Sometimes' I see the process hung and this open transaction. When i restart host instances the transaction closes and everything starts working fine after that. Is this a known issue, is there a hotfix?

    Oldest active transaction:

        SPID (server process ID): 104

        UID (user ID) : -1

        Name          : DTCXact

        LSN           : (26:73418:1)

        Start time    : Aug  5 2009  3:02:27:793PM

        SID           : 0x010500000000000515000000fe26c64878006d1f43170a3227fd0100

DBCC execution completed. If DBCC printed error messages, contact your system administrator.

  • If you cannot track the transaction back to some known data source (based on the time) or SPID, then you might try running SQL Profiler. If this occurs as frequently as a deadlock and is hard to reproduce, I would contact Microsoft Support because it sounds like it may be a bug.

Just to clarify, are you using the SQL adapter or the WCF-SQL adapter?

Also, what version of SQL is this?
