How to detect colour in Kinect RRS feed

Answers

  • The Kinect itself does not detect specific colors, it provides the color frame from the camera.

Have a look at the Color Basics-WPF sample. All the code necessary for initializing the Kinect, setting up the event and an example of processing the ColorFrame is provided. As a developer, you can change the processing code to whatever method you choose for detecting color.

  • May be this link might help:

It detects and differentiates the Colors Red from Black. It does this by cropping the image and then iterating each pixels to get and match its color.
