40 minute outage in North Europe? RRS feed

  • Hi,

    We have 2 Cloud Services running in North Europe.

    Last night, both services went down for 40 minutes.

    The Azure Status dashboard reported no problems and I couldn't find any mention of problems online or on Twitter.

    I asked other Developers whose services are also in North Europe and their Services were fine.

    I narrowed it down to SQL Azure connection errors.

    I could log into our Servers but not connect to any of our databases.

    Could anyone shed some light on the outage for me?

    Apologies for the inconvenience.

    As per the dashboard, I see that we had Websites - North Europe - Partial Service Interruption

    From 16:46 to 17:40 UTC on 4 December, 2014 a subset of customers using Websites in North Europe may have experienced latency and/or 503 errors when attempting to access websites hosted in North Europe. This incident has now been mitigated.

    That might have been the cause, however if you would like a deeper understanding as to what happened I would request you to open a Technical Support Ticket as we would require your Azure details.
