How to inspect unhandled exception?

  • If there is an unhandled exception in my app, the process breaks in the UnhandledExceptionEventHandler in the App.g.hpp file. Can I somehow inspect the exception? I get the exception as an argument (UnhandledExceptionEventArgs^ e), however, if I type e->Message in the watch window, I get "class "Windows::UI::Xaml::UnhandledExceptionEventArgs" has no member "Message"". Which is strange, because - according to the documentation - it has.

How can I inspect what has happened?

  • I encountered the same strange issue. It seems a bug in VS11. why the watch window behaviour is inconsistent with document?
