Change PowerPoint parameters with command line program.. RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I have tried to find this thing by my self for a while now and not succeeded to find any solution to this.

How can I check and change Presentation parameter "Loop continuously until 'Esc'" to checked and also check every slides slide transition time (if not already set) by using vba command line program?

I'm trying to make sure that slideshow will loop itself if user has been forgotten to set those couple of parameters which makes it loop infinite.

    Thanks

  • You could use the presentation open event code to set that - here's the property:

    https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/office/ff745301.aspx

and here's the event to use:

    https://msdn.microsoft.com/EN-US/library/office/ff744100.aspx

But PowerPoint is harder to set up for events than other Office Apps, so start here to get events to work:

  • Thanks for reply!

Did I understood correct that these code parts should be embedded to the powerpoint file to make code work?

Because several people can insert powerpoint shows to system and some times they forget to set these quite important parameters I'm trying to create code which can be used to open powerpoint, set LoopUntilStopped, check and set Slide times, save powerpoint file and then run show...
