Site too slow RRS feed

  • Question

  • Recently our intranet site was too slow and it took more than 30 seconds to load a page. This kept happening again on a weekday and it returned to normal after some time. We checked the logs and found the below errors

    UserProfileApplicationProxy.InitializePropertyCache: Microsoft.Office.Server.UserProfiles.UserProfileException: System.ServiceModel.Security.MessageSecurityException
     at Microsoft.Office.Server.UserProfiles.MossClientBase`1.ExecuteOnChannel(String operationName, CodeBlock codeBlock)

     at Microsoft.Office.Server.Utilities.SPAsyncCache`2.GetValueNow(K key)
     at Microsoft.Office.Server.Utilities.SPAsyncCache`2.GetValue(K key, Boolean asynchronous)
     at Microsoft.Office.Server.Administration.UserProfileApplicationProxy.InitializePropertyCache()

    Exception occured while connecting to WCF endpoint: System.ServiceModel.Security.MessageSecurityException: An unsecured or incorrectly secured fault was received from the other party. See the inner FaultException for the fault code and detail. ---> System.ServiceModel.FaultException: An error occurred when verifying security for the message.     -

    User profile sync is running fine and is scheduled only on weekends. The server time on all WFEs, application server is also in sync. We are yet to find the root cause why we got the error Exception occured while connecting to WCF endpoint: System.ServiceModel.Security.MessageSecurityException: An unsecured or incorrectly secured fault was received from the other party   in the first place.

  •  there may be n-number of reason for slow performance e.g Network issue, firewall issue, some schedule jobs, WCF issue, sql issue. you need to dig into more .

    Can you install http://support.microsoft.com/kb/933741 and see how much time WCF is tacking, you can also check other call. see in ULS logs as well.

    Regards
