  •  I also tried to create a new submission for Windows Phone 8.1 build (.xap) on new Windows store and not getting the app id. I can see the url for Windows 10 build and not for Windows Phone 8.1 build. How do I share the download link for beta testers for Windows Phone 8.1 build?

It "should" be under "App management", at the bottom of the "App Identity" page.

  • But it is not there until the app is certified and published. There's only Windows 10 URL and nothing else. Even the app id for building the url on your own and hardcode if needed is not listed. The phoneproduct. You have to publish an app to find out the appid and then publish it again with the correct url if you want to link to your review page in the store. This is sick how fool is the process of publishing on Windows. Additionaly the VS2015 crashes when I try to associate app with the store, local certification kit crashes too when I try to do local certification, Windows 8 project crashes VS on loading image assets, etc. I'm trying to publish a universal app based on a cordova project but all this is so much different than advertised by MS how easy and powerful is publishing universal apps on Windows. I spent too much time and I would regret this time if I gave up now. However I wouldn't do any new project for Windows with my current experience. I have to do too many stupid things instead of just code and publish. Yes, I'm frustrated and sick of it...

  • For example:

In the past a page with information about me (the publisher + list of all my apps) were displayed.

Now: Only a "generic page" will be displayed without any information about the publisher ....

  • Found a solution which works for me, examples:

    Publisher URL:

    App URL (aka Deep Link):

    Concrete Store:
