Remote-NDIS-over USB Host Driver || WHCK || Singed files RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello Forum,

We are using the Remote-NDIS (RNDIS) over USB device. There are two versions of RNDIS provided by Microsoft RNDIS 5.1 and RNDIS 6.0

As per MSDN link, it suggests IHV should provide the required INF to point to the right version of the RNDIS.

Question is: How do we get the Digital Signed cat file for this? In this case, our .inf file simply points to the Microsoft RNDIS driver. Do we still need to perform a full WHCK test and submission on this?

    Here is the MSDN link:

    https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/hardware/ff570620(v=vs.85).aspx

"To use the Remote NDIS driver with a USB device, an IHV must provide an INF file according to one of the following templates"

    Thanks

    Aby
