Show/Hide Tabs once Ribbon is set to Start from Scratch in Word using XML RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am creating a document template in Word 365. Because I am creating a Custom QAT, I need to start my ribbon from scratch.  I have set the tabs that I want to be viewable as "visible=true" but Design, Layout, Review, Acrobat and PDF-Xchange are not appearing.  The other Tabs are viewable.

    <customUI xmlns= "http://schemas.microsoft.com/office/2006/01/customui" xmlns:mso="http://schemas.microsoft.com/office/2009/07/customui" xmlns:x1="htpp://schemas.microsoft.com/office/2009/07/customui/macro" xmlns:doc="htpp://schemas.microsoft.com/office/2009/07/customui/currentDocument">
    	<ribbon startFromScratch="true">
               <qat>
                  <sharedControls>
                  </sharedControls>
              </qat>
              <tabs>
                  <tab id="AABC" label="LABEL" insertBeforeMso="TabHome">

                    <tab idQ="mso:TabHome" visible="true"/>

  • thank you, I had the tabs labeled incorrectly.  they are now visible.   Downloading the wordcontrols from Microsoft was a lifesaver!
