Developing a custom form RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello all!

Im developing a customization for project professional and i would like to use a customized form to show some info. The thing is that i would like this custom form to be handled in the "same area" that project shows the tasks of the project and others items, in a way that i could "push" the schedule a bit to the side and "squeeze" my form... is that possible? i thought i might use the handle ptr of the project... something like:

  • You can try Task panes, but I think they are no longer supported or encouraged in Project 2010. Otherwise you can only have a form floating on top of the other windows. You can resize windows and move them.

  • Check the layout of your SharePoint master page in which the information is presented as seperate webparts. Your custom form should be another webpart that you place onto your page.

  • Yes you can do that, create a new page with two web part zone side by side. On the left side add the project center web part and on the other your custom web part.
