Catch driver exception in Kernel RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have the situation where a device driver sometimes throws an exception. Unfortunatly this exception can not be resolved by software (hw issue). There is running a hw watchdog in kernel but this will not be triggered, as the watchdog thread is still running. The exception causes that device.exe will be terminated and therefore boot process is halted.

Is there any possibility to catch exceptions in Kernel?

  • Thanks for your response. Could you explain in more detail how you handle these exceptions?
