  • Hi all,

    what is the process when log  file is full in secondary database  in log shipping or database mirroring..?

  • Hi,

    In logshipping if the secondary database logfile is full you need to check the log file in the primary database and then try to reduce the log file size since the log backups are shipped from the primary database to the secondary database.

    i hope same thing is happen at production server database log files also check once , shrink production server database log files , it will reflect same on DR server database log files also. i hope it help you.

  • Hello,

    Just as others post above, you can try to shrink the database log file on primary server. In Log Shipping, DBCC SHRINKFILE on primary database will get propagated to the secondary database.
