How can I read my own database in a Mashup ?

    Question

  •

    My goal:

I want to create a Mashup Earth with all my visited holiday sites.

    eg.

    Switzerland,Longitude,Lattitude,Picture01,Carusell-Mashup01

    Bali,Longitude,Lattitude,Picture02,Carusell-Mashup02

    Disneyland,Longitude,Lattitude,Picture03,Carusell-Mashup03

When I open my mashup it should show the Picture at the defined places

and when I click the picture it should open with a link the Carusell mashup with pictures from this site.

I hope I coul describe my wishes comprehensible and I am wondering who has as first a fine solution.

    Thankyou in advance

  • You could use the new project type we have "Data Source" under the Create Stuff. You can see a tutorial at: http://www.popflywiki.com/Popfly%20Data%20Editor.ashx don't forget to share your data project once your done (unless you want to keep the mashup private as well).

Essentially you could create 1 data project and 4 mashups. 1 mashup for each holiday visit. The data project would have a row for each holiday and would have a column for with the url of each mashup as an iframe e.g.:
    <iframe src='mashup'></iframe>
That column would then be used in the addPushPin method of the virtual earth mashup.

If you could share a mashup of just one of your holiday carousel mashups i can create an example of how to build the data and virtual earth mashup.
