[Python 2.7] Binding metadata RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hey all,

Just curious if there is away to access some of the binding metadata information in Python (2.7).  For example, I have a function that triggers on a blob file.  While I have access to the contents of the blob file via the bindings, I don't have information like the actual name of the blob file.

I've looked around for more info on this but as an experimental feature, documentation is light and examples are few.  Doesn't look like anything is being passed in as a system arg or that anything I'm looking for is in the env vars.  The binding vars themselves are local file references that just have the content of the blob that was uploaded.

Any pointers would be appreciated, thanks!

  • No the binding metadata isn't generally available for the scripting languages. This is tracked by https://github.com/Azure/azure-webjobs-sdk-script/issues/1339.
