WF Designer Adornments on FlowDecision Activity RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have been recently working with the VisualWorkflowTracking sample, and I noticed that the FlowDecision Activity does not up in the list of SourceLocation you get from the SourceLocationProvider.CollectMapping function.  Because of this, I don't know of any way to display an adornment on any FlowDecisions.  Does anyone know of a way to do this?

  • The adornments do not appear on the FlowDecision activity because the article you mentioned does not handle activities without a custom designer (and his suggested workaround in http://blogs.msdn.com/b/kushals/archive/2010/03/12/base-designer-with-additional-adornments-ii.aspx) does not work either.

    The missing step is that you need to add an extra style to App.xaml:

    <Style TargetType="{x:Type Activities:DerivedDesigner}">
      <Setter Property="Template" Value="{StaticResource WorkflowElementDesignerDefaultTemplate}" />
    </Style>
