Domain Verification RRS feed

  • Question

  • I bought a domain name from my old company which was used for testing. The enviroment no longer exists and I'm the owner of the domainname. I'll try to add and verify the Domain but I got the following Error Message:

Is there an other way to verify the Domain? I tried to open a support request with the new Azure Portal but without a support plan it isnt possible to contact the support with the portal.

  • according to the message, the domain name is associated with your old company/azure tenant.  You need to remove that first then verify inside your Azure tenant.

Or try to perform domain take process - https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/articles/active-directory-self-service-signup/

  • The old tenant of the old company no longer exists. The domain wasn't removed there correctly. The Domain Takover Process failed with "Confirm-MsolEmailVerifiedDomain : Unknown error occurred"
