I am using Reporting Services 2005 with VS 2005. I am showing my reports with the windows forms report viewer control.
As I have read, forced page breaks should be accomplished in this condition.
In my report project I got seven nested groups in a table; in one of these, I want to have a page break. So, in the according group properties, I checked the points "page break at beginning" and "page break at end" (translated from german).
Showing the report, no page breaks are done.
Just trying to do this for another group, I get curious results; the first line of the group is displayed on a single page, the rest of the group on the next page with the following, inner groups.
So, think I did not regard an important aspect. Perhaps, the properties for the report are the point?
When dealing with that many group by's, it may get confusing keeping track. I would remove ALL of your page breaks and running the report and ensuring that you have done so. Then, insert a single grouping page break and ensure that is working as you expect and go from there. The grouping property of repeating group headers and footers on each page will also add some complexity here as they will only be displayed if their parent group is also displayed.
