How to configure Single sign on (SSO) in sharepoint 2010?

I want to configure SSO in sharepoint, So from sharepoint user can directly navigate to External application without login again.

Basically you need to configure your Secure Store Service (SSS), then create an entry and set the unattended account in excel services to the ID of this entry.
