  • Dear all,

    I use sql server 2005.

I don't want any windows users (including windows administrator) to access the sql server with Management Studio when they login to windows. How to configure the sql server or windows?

    Thank you

  • First you need to change SQL Service account to some windows account. Check the link http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/283811 for changing service account. The service account should have sysadmin privilege in SQL.

Once this has been completed successfully, then you can remove Built-in\Administrators from SQL Server and any other windows ID added in SQL.
