ExecuteCommand and changes tracking RRS feed

  • Question

  • ExecuteQuery method supports changes tracking. And does ExecuteCommand support such a functionality. I made some tests with deleting... and it looks like ExecuteCommand doesn't delete rows from it's cache (these rows were selected into dataContext before). Is it really so or I did something wrong?

  • Neither ExecuteQuery or ExecuteCommand alter change tracking.  They execute directly against the database.  ExecuteQuery, however, does translate results back into entities and that does go through the cache.
