Develop XInput Hardware RRS feed

  • Question

  • Greetings,

I'm currently in the process of developing a game controller, and I have successfully gotten it to output as a USB HID game controller.  Unfortunately, it would seem that most games now-a-days use XInput as their communications protocol, leaving the once-intended universal HID protocol to the wind.

I would like to know how I am able to get my device to output with XInput, so it will be compatible with modern gaming.

I would like to add that any knowledge I have of anything programming is self-taught over the past few months, so forgive me if I request clarification or leave out pertinent information.

    Best,

    Peter
