Document Library incomming email - error in application RRS feed

  • Hi,

    A few days ago, I wanted to add a new incomming email address to a document library. But I'm getting the error: "Error in application". On our Intranet we have a few other document libraries where this is installed, and these libraries are still receiving the emails and documents.

    How can I find out what is causing this issue? Is this error logged somewhere with more information about it, because I can't seem to find anything. I also think there is nothing wrong with my incomming email settings, because the other libraries are working fine.

  • Hi,

    Please check web application app pool account from IIS and then go to AD and make sure this account has sufficient rights (Full Control recommended) to create contacts under OU.

    If app pool account doesn't have rights then assign sufficient rights and then try to create incoming email for doc lib.

    Application pool of My SharePoint site need to have the same account of the SharePoint central administration pool. Please check to see if this is the cause of the issue.

  • Hi all,

    The account is still the same. I checked this, but nothing has changed here.
    However I'm still getting the error. Also rebooted my server.

    Any other ideas ?
