ASP.NET MVC and Server Controls RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi gurus,

Sorry if I am posting this question in a wrong forum. I did search for an ASP.NET MVC forum but I did not find any.

I've just started to learn ASP.NET MVC. So far I've noticed that there is no UI control (such as ASP.NET GridView) for the ASP.NET MVC. If it is true, so do we have to write heaps of codes to build the UI? I could do a lot using the flexibility and power of GridView, ListView, TreeView, MultiPage etc. Now I feel like I'm left alone in a desert! :-)

2- What is the difference between ASP.NET MVC 2 and 3? Will I miss a lot if I study MVC 2 and no 3?

  • The official asp.net forum is at forums.asp.net. You will find MVC forum there.
