ASPUSER Account - Not Allowed? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am currently in a situation where I need to get a proof of concept going using CCF 2008.  While I can move forward with a standalone server configuration & set all users/group requirements to be local to the server machine - this is going to pose some serious issues when entering a production environment.  Today, corporate policy does not permit creation of generic user accounts & that too with "Password never expires" enabled.  According to the documentation this is required for the ASPUSER account & some others.

Looking to other fellow professional out there to provide some insight or usable workarounds that addresses this problem???

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

The ASPUSER is used by the CCF services to communicate with the CCF database,  it is a Service account, not a user account

And you can name it something else if you like, you just need to update the user in SQL as well.
