Building Windows Store app package RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have completed my first Windows 8 app, and now I’m trying to submit it in the Windows Store, I have used Visual Studio Ultimate 2012 to develop the app and associate the app with my Windows Store account now I’m ready to create the .appxupload package through the Visual Studio.

I have noticed that there are 4 options to choose from (Neutral, x86, x64, and ARM) where the default choice is Neutral, I’m a little confused and not sure which option should I use . . . please note that I have made sure that my app will work for every resolution available in the VS simulator and with both horizontal and vertical device positions . . . so does that mean I should choose Neutral to build the app package?

Any advice / help in this regard will be highly appreciated.

    Thank you all

  • Hello,

I would suggest Neutral (Thats what I use) unless your app depends on some special capabilities of the underlying.
