Calling web service using credentials RRS feed

    I have an application developed using ASP.Net 4.5.1 framework. A web form invokes a web service using NTLM credentials which works fine using Visual Studio once deployed getting this error:
    Access denied: Access to the requested webservice method cannot be granted with the credentials supplied.

    1. Enabled Windows Authentication
    2. Set AppPool Identity to Network Service or AppPoolIdentity
    3. Web.config
      <binding name="ProjectWSSoap">
      <security mode="TransportCredentialOnly">
      <transport clientCredentialType="Ntlm"/>
      <message clientCredentialType="UserName" algorithmSuite="Default"/>
      </security>
      </binding>

    The web service does not have any other means of setting credentials.
    Any help would be much appreciated.
    Thanks

    Hi krisrajz,

    According to your error message, I guess your webform may not have the enough permission to access the web service.

    Does the webservice and webform in the same domain?

    I suggest you could firstly check you have use the right username with the right permission to access the webservice.

    Best Regards,
