Video Over Bluetooth RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • Need some guidance related to the feasibility of this concept. There are video devices that transmit video over short distances using bluetooth. This requires an application to reside on the smartphone to capture the incoming video frames and either store them on the device OR resend the frames as M-JPEG over a 3G or WAP connection. I know this can be done capturing the data from the on board camera.

    Is this possible.

Just point me in the right direction.  Has someone done this?

  • It probably is possible with reasonably low resolution video. Keep in mind BT throughput degrades quickly with distance.
