Now and then: Error with Python... RRS feed

  • Question

I get now and then errors with python like:

    • ReadTimeout: HTTPSConnectionPool(host='foobar_cdn.blob.core.windows.net', port=443): Read timed out. (read timeout=65)
    • AzureHttpError: Operation could not be completed within the specified time.
    • AzureHttpError: The server is busy.
    • SSLError: ('The write operation timed out',)

    Any idea, why this happening?

The appserver and CDN is in the same ressourcegroup and runs on Western Europe... Metrics don't look overloaded.

  • Hello, could you provide more details on the request that was made? HTTP method, headers, etc.

This looks like you're making the request to blob storage instead of the CDN endpoint. Is that intended? You need to use the foo.azureedge.net endpoint to go through CDN.

  • Yes you are right. It's not a CDN, it's the blob storage...

It is also true that these errors are rare, not always. Only once in a while one of the errors listed above occurs.

Therefore, the configuration cannot be completely wrong, isn't it? ;)
