Moving Skeleton in world space RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I've recently begun using Kinect with Unity using the Kinect Wrapper Package for Unity3D.

With the example provided, all it does is rotate the bones, but the root stays in the same position despite the player stepping right and left, and forward/backwards.

How can I move the in game skeleton based on the players position in front of the kinect?

  • You may find you will get a faster response from the developers that have provided the wrapper. Since this is a wrapper, there may not be a one-to-one relationship to the Kinect for Windows SDK. This is assuming the wrapper is based on the Kinect for Windows SDK. You may want to try the Unity3D forums or the developers site to see if they provide support for this.

If you are interested in a XNA sample, there is the Avateering sample in the Toolkit.
